Marianna Pavan

Hello, I’m Marianna.
I am an expert on sport for development and human rights in sports

I strongly believe that sport has a role to play in the promotion of the UN sustainable development agenda. Sport can protect and respect human rights in its activities and thus work in compliance with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. This is what inspired me to found Human Rights at Play Consulting.

What is the social, economic and environmental impact of sporting events at the local, regional and national level? Does sport succeed in breaking down unbreakable barriers of language, ethnicity, politics, and economics? Or does it maintain the status quo?

I am committed to addressing these questions. My unique approach to sport project design, management, and evaluation can help your organisation develop its sporting activities and events within a human rights framework.
